Brunello Week February 2nd through 8th at The Village Wine Merchant
Brunello di Montalcino is among the most prestigious wines in the world! Made entirely from Sangiovese Grosso, the local name for Sangiovese in Montalcino, the wines must be aged for 5 years, with a minimum of 2 years in wood. They age gracefully for 15+ years in most cases, and can provide almost revelatory experiences for wine enthusiasts.
BUT the world has found out, and prices have been skyrocketing in recent years. Some very deservedly, and others just rising with the tide. For an entire week, we will be filling the table again, but this time purely with just Brunello, and mostly from private collections and most of which will be well under-priced!
Mark it on your calendar! Many of these wines will not be replaceable, so once they are gone, they are gone!
