2026 Summer Camps
Our camps take place either in St. Boniface gym in Sea Cliff or at the North Shore High School. This allows us to run camps using full-sized courts, which is not always the norm for local camps and clinics. The main coaches are Allan Wright, Coordinator of the local CYO program and Director of the North Shore Volleyball Club, and Tina Lountzis, club volleyball coach at 516 Volleyball and head coach of St. Aidan’s Middle School Volleyball Team. The first week will also have ex-North Shore High School star hitter Caroline Ledden and the second session will have current North Shore High School star hitter Devyn Mandell.
We have four camps scheduled over two weeks as follows. All camps are $200 for the week. Registration is open now and space is limited. Please be sure to read each description carefully so you can register your daughter for the appropriate camp.
Volleyball Basics Camp
June 29 – July 3 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Incoming 4th, 5th and 6th graders
We will focus on the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting, and hitting. This camp is designed for players with no club or league experience and no volleyball experience is necessary.
Advanced Camp I: Team Play
June 29 – July 3 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM
Incoming 8th and 9th graders
This camp is designed for girls with volleyball experience who are already playing club volleyball, in the CYO A Division, or the equivalent, although it can be appropriate for more advanced incoming 7th graders and for 9th graders with other playing experience. We will focus on team play including various systems; on-court rotations; movement from serve-receive to offense to defense; net play including covering hits; freeballs and dumps; etc.
Intermediate Camp
July 6 – 10 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Incoming 6th and 7th graders
This camp is designed for girls with volleyball league (CYO) or club experience. The camp will focus on both the basic skills including serving, passing, setting, and hitting as well as team play aspects such as court rotations and on-court movement.
Advanced Camp II: Positional Skills
July 6 – 10 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM
Incoming 8th and 9th graders
This camp is also designed for girls who are already playing club volleyball, in the CYO A Division, or the equivalent, although it can be appropriate for more advanced incoming 7th graders and for 9th graders with other playing experience. The camp will continue the instruction from Advanced Camp I the previous week and will be a focus on positional skills, with a day by day on each of the following skills: defense/libero, hitting, setting, and serving. We will have position specialists at the camp for each of the skills. All girls will learn all positional skills, since players need to be able to do everything on the court even if they are already specializing in a specific position.
