Shed The Meds

Help keep the community safe by disposing of your unused or expired prescription medications and medical supplies at the biannual “Shed Your Meds” drug disposal event! This important drug reclamation program is a collaborative community effort brought to you by the local nonprofit SAFE (Substance Abuse Free Environment), the Mayor’s office, the Glen Cove Police Department, and EMS. Proper disposal is a key strategy in tackling local drug abuse and ensures that dangerous medications never make their way into the hands of children. Just drive up to the Police Department parking lot to securely drop off your items!
