A new wellness studio brings together sound, movement, Reiki, music and Sea Cliff’s creative community spirit.
“Guided by vibration and grounded in love.”
– Sol Vibration
Sea Cliff has always had its own rhythm – part seaside village, part creative enclave and part close-knit neighborhood where artists, musicians and independent business owners know one another by name. Now, at 316 Sea Cliff Avenue, that rhythm has taken on a new dimension through singing bowls, the gentle pulse of the handpan, mindful movement and the deep resonance of a didgeridoo.
Sol Vibration is a holistic wellness studio devoted to sound healing, Reiki, guided meditation and movement. Its current offerings include group and individual experiences, with classes and special sessions that may feature sound healing and Reiki, yoga, Pilates, meditation, movement and visiting practitioners. The studio opened on May 8, 2026, and celebrated its official ribbon cutting on July 22 with local business owners, elected officials and community members gathered outside its Sea Cliff Avenue home.
At the center of the story are co-founders Graciela Bustos and Cathy Henderson – two women whose paths into wellness began in very different places but meet naturally through music, energy and community.
Graciela Bustos: From Beauty to a Deeper Kind of Care
Many Sea Cliff residents already know Graciela as the owner of Salon Solis, located just steps away on Sea Cliff Avenue. Originally from Argentina, she moved to the United States in 2000 and entered the hairstyling profession in 2004. Over time, she felt called to help people in a way that went beyond their outward appearance.
Graciela began studying Reiki in 2011 and became a Reiki Master in 2012. Her interest in the relationship between sound and personal well-being grew from her work with Tibetan singing bowls and expanded into a larger collection of instruments and practices. Today, her sound work incorporates instruments including the handpan and didgeridoo, creating an experience that can feel both meditative and surprisingly powerful.
Cathy Henderson: A Musician’s Ear for Energy and Connection
Cathy Henderson brings a different but complementary background. She is a founding member and lead guitarist of Antigone Rising, the Long Island-rooted rock band known for its live performances, loyal following and commitment to community. After years of understanding how music can change the energy in a room, Cathy now brings that same sensitivity to experiences built around movement, breath, intention, and sound.
The partnership feels especially right for Sea Cliff. Graciela approaches sound through Reiki and energy work; Cathy approaches it through a lifetime of music. Together, they have created a studio where sound is not simply background music – it is part of the experience itself.
Yes – Graciela Really Does Play the Didgeridoo
One of the first questions people ask is whether the long, striking instrument seen in Graciela’s photos is truly a didgeridoo. The answer is yes. She incorporates the didgeridoo, along with the handpan and singing bowls, into her sound-healing practice. The instrument’s deep, sustained tone adds a distinctive physical resonance that listeners may feel as much as hear.
For someone new to sound healing, the combination may seem unusual at first. That is part of Sol Vibration’s appeal: it gives visitors a welcoming place to encounter instruments, practices and forms of mindful rest that may be entirely new to them.
What Visitors Can Experience
Sol Vibration is designed as a community wellness space rather than a one-size-fits-all studio. Offerings change, but the studio’s website and schedule highlight experiences such as:
- Group sound healing and Reiki sessions focused on rest, reflection and energetic balance
- All Yoga Styles included, but not limited to Yin, Restorative, Kundalini, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ayurvedic, Chair, Laughing, Pilates, Tai Chi / Qi Gong, Pilates, 3C Pilates, Mobility & Stretching and other forms of mindful movement.
- Guided meditation, breath and intention-based practices
- Individual private sessions, creative workshops and special community events
- Collaborations with guest teachers and local wellness practitioners
- Classes for everyone including children
Visitors should check the current online schedule before arriving, because class times, instructors and special programs may change. Those who are new to a practice can review the class description or contact the studio to find the most comfortable place to begin.

A Natural Addition to a Creative Village
Sol Vibration opened its doors in a village already known for musicians, artists, independent shops and community gatherings. Shortly after opening, the studio joined other local businesses for a Sea Cliff block party, and its July ribbon cutting drew neighbors and local officials together. That community-first approach makes the studio feel less like a destination apart from Sea Cliff and more like a natural extension of the village itself.
For visitors, a class or sound session can become part of a full Sea Cliff day: enjoy coffee or lunch, browse the shops along the Avenue, walk through the historic village and finish with time near the water. It is a quieter kind of North Shore outing – one built around curiosity, creativity and connection.
